Web pages consisting of ads and links to alternative sites that are almost entirely filled with ads are spam. We usually find them when we are searching for information on a particular subject.
These type of pages may claim to give information about a specific issue, or item. However, subject matter is frequently insubstantial, unhelpful and incomplete.
They often apply repetitious text throughout the site in order to acquire a better rank in search engine results. These spammers produce many cloaked pages, known as “phantom pages” that have been fine tuned specifically for search engines, giving them a greater chance of success in being ranked higher.
