This site presents a few of the ways “creative advertisers” work to reach us. We must work just as hard and creative to keep their unnerving, deceptive and often harmful junk out of our inbox. It is bad enough that we have to watch the advertising during our favorite television programs, we shouldn’t have to deal with it in every aspect of our lives.

Despite ever growing technology to defend against spam, there are always more spammers finding ways around it. Being observant, researching and keeping up with the latest gimmicks and being choosy about who gets our information, are the best spam blockers that we have.

SpamEater Pro is quite an impressive product. You will need input your mail server information into SpamEater Pro along with your login information. After you do that, the program will connect with your mail server. The program allows you to choose if you want SpamEater to connect to your mail server on a timed basis or only at times you choose. After it’s all set up, you will check the email messages on the mail server for spam. You have the option of removing the Spam emails or saving the spam emails locally.

Spam Agent Anti-Spam software comes preset with over 1,500 filters for the most common spam issues. Spam Agent also allows you to create custom filters based on email, subject, words, and domain. I really like the fact that this program allows you to report spammers and send abuse emails to their internet providers! That will usually stop the Spammer in their tracks. You’ll be doing yourself and the WORLD a favor.

iHateSpam 5.0 is an Anti-Spam software particularly designed for Microsoft Outlook. iHateSpam Anti-Spam Software runs inside of your email program so there is no need to enter technical information like your password and such. After you install iHateSpam, your mail is examined by the program to verify if indeed the message is spam. Possible spam emails are then put in a quarantine for you to look at and determine if they are in fact spam.

Facebook spam

The nature of Facebook does not lend itself to a terrible amount of spam for the casual user who has simply connected with a modest number of friends and family for the purpose of keeping in touch. If you find that one of your friends is getting a little too chatty for your taste, you can always choose to hide their updates from your stream.

Twitter Spam

Sometimes it is hard to recognize Twitter Spam at a first glance. Unfortunately, spam can appear on Twitter on many forms, but it is generally pretty easy to ignore, especially if you are following a large volume of people.
